Joe Shaffer Memorial Team Baker Tournament Results 2026

This weekend, our bowling family came together to celebrate Joe’s life through the Joe Shaffer Memorial Baker Tournament, hosted by the Treasure Coast USBC and Saint Lucie Lanes. The competition was fierce, but what stood out most was the camaraderie, teamwork, and spirit that filled the lanes. There is truly nothing like Baker competition — bowlers coming together as one, lifting each other up, and competing with heart. It was powerful to witness, and we know Joe would have been incredibly proud of the passion, sportsmanship, and unity on display. His presence was felt in every cheer, every strike, and every moment shared.

As a community we are all saddened by Joe's passing. Joe was more than a leader in our bowling community — he was its heartbeat. Through his work with Extreme Gold Coast Bowling Tournaments, Joe along with his wife Cherie created opportunities for bowlers of all ages and skill levels to compete, connect, and grow. His passion for the sport was unmistakable, and his dedication helped shape the Treasure Coast Tournament scene. As a Treasure Coast USBC Hall of Famer, Joe’s legacy is etched not only in record books, but in the friendships he built, the tournaments he championed, and the countless lives he touched. He welcomed everyone with warmth, encouragement, and that unmistakable enthusiasm that made every event feel special.

Joe was a friend, a TCUSBC Board Member, a mentor, and a tireless supporter of our community. His impact will continue to be felt every time we lace up our bowling shoes, cheer one another on, and gather together in the spirit he loved so deeply.

On behalf of all of us at the Treasure Coast USBC, we extend our deepest condolences to Joe’s family and loved ones. We will miss him greatly, honor him always, and carry forward the passion and camaraderie he gave so freely.
